Hey guys,

Here I am again with another blog post. Just sitting at my desk, sipping on a cup of black tea and listening to rain & thunder sounds on Youtube.

I find those sounds relaxing, and they help to focus better. Try it out btw!

In this post I’m gonna talk about my overall strategy on how I’m gonna build a branded ecom store and how I’m gonna promote it.

From what I see there a couple of parts to this business model, namely:

• The store itself
• The product
• Marketing
• The logistics.
• Customer Service

I’m quite a noob in at least 3 of them.

So take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Even better take all this as a form of an experiment rather than a to-do manual.

Soo,
let’s start with the easiest element.

What is the easiest thing for me?

Well, without a doubt it’s building a store.

With so many moving parts with an ecom business it’s important to get the store, logo, brand attribute, etc out of the equation.

And focus on more important things.

I’ll just try to not screw the website and make it really ugly.

What about a product?

I have been seeing all the great copywriters and marketers preach one thing.

Finding the market first.

Finding a specific and unique market with its own attributes and characteristic.

Basically, a bunch of people who share things in common.

Finding their pain points, frustrations, and problem.
Understanding their needs and wants and then finding a product that would be a band-aid for their cut.
I have been thinking to target entrepreneurs niche or young mothers niche.
Both of these niches are equally appealing to me and here are the reasons:

I can empathize with entrepreneurs more, and I know what it feels like to be one, and I have around in the entrepreneurs groups and know what people are struggling with and what they want.

The reason for choosing the young mothers niche is purely financial and is based on my assumption.
I assume that young mothers are easier buyers.

It’s easier to sell them something because they don’t spare money for their children.
However, I’m not a mom and have very little knowledge about that market.

Meanwhile, I’m still searching for a product, mainly through Aliexpress and one product caught my eye.

So,
I decided to research that product a bit.

I analyzed 7 top-selling suppliers who had over 1000 total orders and found out that a substantial number of their orders came in the last 14 days.
Also, checked out customer reviews of the product, they seem to be from legit customers.

And the majority of people are in love with the product.
Then I did a bit of research on Amazon, searched for the same product, and read customer reviews for an hour or two.

The experience was eye-opening.

I came up with so many insights I would not have figured out on my own. So, I created a doc file to write down all the intel I got to later use in my marketing campaigns.

Ahaaa, that’s my little secret,
I’m gonna use their language to sell them the product.
